Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative E-Learning Developer to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. As an E-Learning Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging online learning experiences that enhance learner engagement and retention. You will work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to create interactive and innovative e-learning solutions. Key Responsibilities:

1. E-Learning Development:

  • Design and develop interactive and engaging e-learning courses using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, or similar.
  • Convert traditional training content (such as instructor-led training) into highly engaging online formats.
  • Ensure the learning experience is responsive and user-friendly across multiple devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Develop multimedia elements such as audio, video, graphics, and animations to enhance the learning experience.

2. Instructional Design Collaboration:

  • Work closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the content is educationally sound and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Implement instructional strategies and methods to meet different learner needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather and assess content for accuracy, relevance, and instructional effectiveness.

3. Learning Management System (LMS) Integration:

  • Upload, test, and troubleshoot e-learning content within Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or similar.
  • Ensure that courses and learning materials are SCORM/AICC/xAPI compliant for LMS integration.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to course delivery and performance within the LMS environment.

4. Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Conduct thorough testing of e-learning modules to ensure they function as intended across different browsers and devices.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure content is error-free and meets established standards.
  • Regularly update and revise e-learning materials based on feedback, new technologies, or changes in organizational needs.

5. Multimedia and Content Creation:

  • Create visually appealing course content, including graphics, videos, and interactive elements, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Use design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) to develop custom multimedia elements.
  • Edit and refine video and audio content to ensure clarity, consistency, and professionalism.

6. Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics to track learner progress and assess the effectiveness of e-learning programs.
  • Provide reports on learner engagement, completion rates, and learning outcomes.
  • Use data to make recommendations for course improvements and updates.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as an E-Learning Developer or a similar role in the education or training industry.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, etc.).
  • Experience with multimedia creation and editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to create SCORM, AICC, or xAPI-compliant courses for LMS integration.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript for creating and modifying web-based learning content.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with learning analytics and data-driven instructional improvement.
  • Knowledge of gamification and other interactive learning strategies.
  • Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles in e-learning.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.0 for e-learning content.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Certifications or professional development in e-learning development, instructional design, or related areas are advantageous.
