Job Description:
As a Babysitter, your primary responsibility will be to create a secure and enriching environment for our children when we are not available. This includes attending to their physical, emotional, and developmental needs while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. The ideal candidate will be a trustworthy and dependable individual who can establish a positive and supportive relationship with our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Safety:
- Provide constant supervision to ensure the safety and security of the children.
- Create a safe environment by childproofing and eliminating potential hazards.
- Daily Care:
- Assist with routine tasks such as feeding, bathing, and dressing.
- Follow established schedules for meals, naps, and playtime.
- Engagement and Play:
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities to stimulate and support development.
- Encourage creativity, learning, and social interaction through play.
- Homework Assistance:
- Provide support with homework and facilitate a positive attitude towards learning.
- Encourage a structured approach to academic responsibilities.
- Communication:
- Maintain open and transparent communication with parents regarding daily activities and any concerns.
- Report any significant developments or changes in the children's behavior.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Mediate and resolve conflicts among children fairly and constructively.
- Encourage positive communication and problem-solving skills.
- Transportation:
- Safely transport children to and from school, activities, or appointments, if required.
- Ensure adherence to traffic rules and regulations.
- Emergency Response:
- Be prepared to handle emergencies and follow established emergency procedures.
- Maintain a list of emergency contacts and relevant medical information.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Babysitter or similar childcare role.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect family privacy.
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position, and the working hours will be mutually agreed upon. The successful candidate may be required to work evenings or weekends as needed. A comfortable and child-friendly environment will be provided.
