Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of employee learning, training, and development programs across the organization. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for fostering growth, enhancing employee performance, and supporting career development through innovative learning strategies and programs.
As an L&D Manager, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, department heads, and leadership, to create and implement learning solutions aligned with business goals. Your key responsibility is to ensure that employees at all levels have access to the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive and grow within their roles.
This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while driving impactful learning initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learning Strategy and Program Development:
- Design, implement, and oversee the companyโs learning and development strategy.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs across departments and functions.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive learning curriculum, including both soft skills and technical skills training.
- Align learning and development programs with business goals to drive employee performance and company success.
- Create innovative, scalable, and engaging learning solutions, utilizing a variety of learning methods (eLearning, virtual classrooms, webinars, etc.).
- Ensure that learning initiatives promote diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for employees at all levels.
2. Leadership Development and Coaching:
- Develop and implement leadership development programs to prepare high-potential employees for future leadership roles.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to managers and leaders to help them improve their leadership capabilities and manage team performance effectively.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify emerging leaders and create individualized development plans for their growth.
3. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
- Manage the companyโs Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that all content is up-to-date and user-friendly.
- Oversee the creation, curation, and distribution of learning materials via the LMS.
- Ensure that the LMS is accessible to employees globally, with easy navigation and functionality.
- Analyze LMS data to measure program effectiveness and report on training outcomes and return on investment (ROI).
4. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, using feedback and data to make improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the learning and development field to ensure that the companyโs training programs remain cutting-edge.
- Lead initiatives to introduce new training technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance learning experiences.
5. Training Delivery and Facilitation:
- Facilitate and deliver training sessions, including workshops, seminars, and virtual training programs.
- Develop engaging training materials, presentations, and learning aids that cater to different learning styles and preferences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training content.
- Lead train-the-trainer sessions to empower internal teams to deliver training effectively.
6. Performance and Talent Management:
- Support HR and management in performance management processes by providing tools, resources, and training that enhance employee development.
- Play a key role in the design and execution of talent management initiatives, including succession planning and career development paths.
- Create a culture of continuous feedback and development through coaching, mentoring, and formalized learning programs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or a related field (Masterโs degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or related fields, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing learning programs and leadership development strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning platforms.
- Certification in training programs such as CPLP, PHR, or SHRM-SCP is a plus.
