Job Description:

As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare industry by accurately assigning appropriate codes to medical diagnoses and procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include:

4. Communication: Collaborating with healthcare providers, billing specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to clarify documentation and resolve coding-related queries.
5. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain coding accuracy and integrity, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
6. Continuing Education: Staying abreast of industry developments, updates to coding guidelines, and changes in healthcare regulations through ongoing training and professional development activities.

Requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, medical coding, health information management, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with relevant certifications or diploma courses in medical coding will also be considered.
• Certification: Certification from recognized organizations such as AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders) or AHIMA is highly desirable but not mandatory for entry-level positions. However, a willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe may be required.
