Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Online Training Program Manager to lead, design, and manage virtual training programs. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in developing e-learning initiatives, overseeing program delivery, and ensuring that training content is aligned with organizational objectives. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in instructional design, project management, and adult learning principles, particularly in a remote or virtual learning environment.
As the Online Training Program Manager, you will work closely with subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and external partners to deliver high-quality training programs. Your focus will be on optimizing learner engagement, measuring training effectiveness, and continuously improving program offerings. This position is crucial in supporting employee development, onboarding, and skill enhancement, with an emphasis on scalability and flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs of the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development & Management:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of online training programs, including onboarding, compliance training, and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure that content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to learners' needs.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of engaging training materials, including e-learning modules, webinars, videos, and other multimedia content.
- Ensure alignment with business goals, departmental objectives, and company policies.
2. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
- Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including content uploads, user access, and system updates.
- Monitor and evaluate LMS data to track learner progress, completion rates, and feedback.
- Ensure user-friendly navigation and experience, troubleshooting technical issues when needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users, ensuring seamless access to training resources.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, IT, Operations) to identify training needs and deliver customized learning solutions.
- Engage with external partners, vendors, and consultants for content development or technology integration.
- Communicate regularly with senior management on the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
4. Instructional Design & Content Development:
- Apply best practices in instructional design to create interactive and learner-centered training experiences.
- Develop assessments, quizzes, and other evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes and retention.
- Adapt content to meet diverse learning styles and accommodate employees across different departments and geographic regions.
5. Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor training program performance, collecting and analyzing data to assess impact and ROI.
- Gather feedback from participants to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Stay informed of the latest trends and innovations in e-learning, instructional design, and corporate training to enhance program offerings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the relevance and effectiveness of the training portfolio.
6. Budget Management & Reporting:
- Manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective development and delivery of programs.
- Prepare regular reports for management, outlining training metrics, budget usage, and program outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to optimize resources, negotiate with vendors, and explore new technologies that improve cost efficiency.
7. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Led a team of training coordinators and instructional designers, fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Assign tasks and monitor progress, ensuring timely delivery of all training projects.
- Mentored and coached team members, helping them to build their skills in program management and instructional design.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing training programs, with a focus on e-learning or virtual training.
- Proven expertise in instructional design, learning technologies, and online learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset, with experience in using data to measure program effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), webinar platforms, and video editing software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masterโs degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Experience in corporate training within a remote work environment.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PMI) or related credentials.
- Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or other e-learning standards.
