Role Overview

The Remote Accounting Data Analyst is responsible for interpreting large volumes of financial data and transforming it into actionable insights. This role combines remote analytics with real-time collaboration to support strategic business decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Data Interpretation: Translate raw data into meaningful business intelligence. Evaluate financial trends using tools like Excel pivot tables, SQL dashboards, and Python scripts. Deliver regular reports that include variance analysis, forecasts, and reconciliations.
• Collaboration Across Departments: Partner with the accounting and FP&A teams to develop financial models and forecasts. Work with operations and executive leadership to align data reports with business goals—present insights in digestible formats for non-financial stakeholders.
• Data Integrity & Governance: Ensure data quality by validating entries, monitoring for anomalies, and documenting procedures. Enhance data management protocols and implement automated processes where feasible.
• Process Improvement Initiatives: Recommend enhancements in financial workflows using your analytical findings. Introduce cost-saving opportunities backed by data. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that assess fiscal health and operational efficiency.

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or related field. 2+ years in a data analyst or financial analyst role. Experience with remote analytics tools such as SQL, Excel, and BI software. Clear communication abilities with the confidence to simplify intricate data. Capable of managing tasks autonomously while remaining in sync with team goals.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a fully remote work setting. Familiarity with data security best practices. Exposure to cloud-based financial software (NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, etc.). A deep appreciation for teamwork and the value of inclusivity.
