Key Responsibilities
Design System Development
- Build and evolve a comprehensive, reusable design system that scales across multiple platforms.
- Define core components, patterns, and interaction models, along with comprehensive documentation, to ensure seamless adoption.
- Establish visual hierarchies and typography standards that align with the brand identity.
- Standardize UI behaviors to support a seamless user experience across devices.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
- Partner closely with UI/UX designers, developers, and product managers to implement consistent design principles
- Translate user interface needs into intuitive component libraries
- Work alongside engineering teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of design assets
- Serve as a bridge between product vision and technical execution
Governance and Maintenance of Design Systems
- Maintain the design system repository to ensure it reflects up-to-date guidelines and assets.
- Audit usage and identify gaps or inconsistencies in component application
- Implement review processes for new patterns and manage version control
Accessibility and Inclusive Design Integration
- Embed accessibility best practices into the design system from the start
- Ensure WCAG-compliant color palettes, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility
