As a compliance specialist, you’ll take ownership of vital processes that ensure the seamless flow of goods and services across borders.
Key Responsibilities:
- 📊 Analyze Export Transactions: Review and evaluate international shipments to confirm compliance with export laws and regulations.
- 🔄 Stay Updated: Monitor changes in U.S. and global export laws, sanctions, and regulatory requirements to ensure our processes remain compliant.
- 📂 Documentation Management: Oversee the preparation, review, and accurate maintenance of export documentation, including licensing, permits, and customs forms.
- ⚠️ Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, and address potential risks in export activities by implementing strategic solutions.
- 🧑🏫 Training & Guidance: Partner with internal teams to provide ongoing training and support on compliance policies, ensuring company-wide awareness and adherence.
- 📋 Audits & Reporting: Conduct regular compliance audits and generate insightful reports to measure and ensure compliance effectiveness.
- 🌐 Global Collaboration: Foster partnerships with international stakeholders, suppliers, clients, and customs officials to streamline operations and ensure adherence to global standards.

Qualifications for This Role:

- 💡 In-depth knowledge: Extensive understanding of export controls such as ITAR, EAR, OFAC regulations, and international trade agreements.
- 🛠️ Technical Expertise: Proficiency with trade compliance tools, software, and databases (e.g., ACE, SAP GTS).
- 🗣️ Effective Communication: Strong skills in explaining complex regulatory matters to diverse audiences.
- 🌍 Global Perspective: Proven experience navigating the complexities of multicultural environments and international operations.
- 🔍 Detail-oriented: A meticulous approach to documentation and a knack for identifying potential issues before they arise.
