Remote Privacy Compliance Analyst

As a core compliance team member, you will evaluate, implement, and maintain privacy programs that align with legal and business requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with global privacy laws. You will work closely with IT, Legal, and Security teams to enhance privacy measures across the organization.

🔹 Responsibilities

📜 Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other global regulations.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify and mitigate risks.
• Stay updated on privacy regulations and advise on necessary changes to maintain compliance.
• Assess potential privacy risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Provide expert guidance on privacy compliance and data protection obligations.

📄 Policy Development & Implementation

• Develop, implement, and update privacy policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct training sessions to educate employees and stakeholders on best practices for privacy.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, Security, and HR to align privacy policies with organizational objectives.
• Ensure the proper enforcement of privacy policies across the company.

🔐 Data Governance & Security

• Support data mapping efforts to maintain records of processing activities (RoPAs) and oversee data classification frameworks.
• Conduct vendor risk assessments to ensure third-party vendors adhere to privacy regulations.
• Work with cybersecurity teams to manage data security incidents and breaches and implement remediation strategies.
• Promote industry best practices for data encryption, anonymization, and minimization.
• Lead privacy automation initiatives to improve compliance efficiency.

📊 Audit & Reporting

• Perform privacy audits and generate compliance reports with findings and recommendations.
• Assist in incident response and breach notification procedures for timely resolution.
• Develop and track key privacy performance metrics to enhance compliance efforts.
• Support regulatory inspections and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Maintain detailed records of privacy incidents and resolution measures.

🔹 What We’re Looking For

🎓 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Compliance, Business, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in privacy compliance, data protection, or regulatory compliance.
• Privacy certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience working in a compliance role within a corporate setting.
• Knowledge of global privacy frameworks such as ISO 27701, NIST Privacy Framework, and SOC 2.

🛠 Technical & Soft Skills

• Expertise in privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) and their business applications.
• Experience in conducting PIAs, DPIAs, and RoPAs.
• Familiarity with data security controls and governance frameworks.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to translate legal requirements into business solutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple departments in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple compliance initiatives.
