What You’ll Do

Script Evaluation & Analysis

• Read and analyze screenplays, teleplays, and pilot scripts submitted for consideration.
• Identify story strengths, structure, character development, and dialogue qualit.y
• Pinpoint opportunities for refinement in tone, pacing, or voice
• Compose thoughtful coverage reports that assess each script’s creative and commercial potential
• Offer concise summaries and clear recommendations

Strategic Recommendations

• Contribute to internal discussions with concise evaluations and pitch notes.
• Suggest scripts that align with the company’s vision and evolving content strategy.
• Spot emerging voices and styles that stand out in today’s competitive content landscape

Collaboration & Workflow

• Maintain clear communication with development executives, producers, and fellow readers.
• Participate in virtual team syncs when requested to discuss high-priority material.
• Ensure deadlines are met consistently in a fast-paced digital workflow

Tools & Technology

To streamline your evaluations and enhance collaboration, you'll regularly work with:

• Cloud-based coverage platforms (e.g., Scriptation, Coverfly)
• Collaborative writing tools (e.g., Google Docs, Final Draft Reader)
• Project management apps (e.g., Trello, Notion)
• Video conferencing software for team reviews and brainstorming sessions

Familiarity with these platforms—or a willingness to learn them quickly—is essential for seamless integration with our remote team.

Who You Are

Qualifications

• Proven experience in script coverage, story development, or a comparable editorial role
• Strong analytical judgment and a genuine enthusiasm for storytelling
• Deep knowledge of narrative structure, genre conventions, and audience expectations
• Strong command of written English, with the ability to craft sharp, engaging feedback
• The capacity to manage a high volume of reading with quick turnaround times
