Talent Acquisition Specialist (Remote)

Annual Salary: $97,053

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced and dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team. As a key player in our HR department, you will identify, attract, and hire top talent to support the organization's growth and success. This role is fully remote, providing the flexibility to work from any location, and offers the opportunity to contribute to a progressive and people-oriented organization.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with department heads and HR leaders to develop and implement recruiting strategies that meet the companyโ€™s short and long-term staffing needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, an eye for talent, and an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber candidates across various functions and departments.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand business needs, and create job descriptions and job postings that accurately reflect the roles and responsibilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, and continuously assess and refine recruiting practices to meet evolving business needs.

2. Candidate Sourcing:

  • Leverage multiple sourcing techniques to identify candidates, including but not limited to job boards, social media platforms, industry networks, and employee referrals.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management.
  • Actively promote the organization as an employer of choice, ensuring that the employer brand is strong, consistent, and aligned with the companyโ€™s values.

3. Candidate Screening & Assessment:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of applications and resumes to assess potential candidates against job requirements.
  • Screen candidates through phone interviews, video calls, or in-person meetings to evaluate qualifications, cultural fit, and overall suitability.
  • Use behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques to ensure an objective and fair evaluation process.

4. Talent Pipeline Management:

  • Create and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs by building relationships with passive candidates and keeping detailed records of potential hires.
  • Track and manage all candidate interactions and feedback using the companyโ€™s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and provide regular reports on the progress of recruitment efforts.
  • Work closely with the HR team to ensure a seamless candidate experience throughout the entire hiring process.

5. Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Partner with department leaders and hiring managers to ensure a clear understanding of recruitment staffing needs, expectations, and timeframes.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of current job openings, and offer data-driven insights to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR teams on employee onboarding, engagement initiatives, and talent retention programs to support long-term workforce planning.

6. Diversity & Inclusion:

  • Promote diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process by ensuring that job advertisements, interviews, and candidate assessments are unbiased and equitable.
  • Develop strategies to reach underrepresented talent pools and ensure a diverse range of candidates are considered for open roles.
  • Support company-wide initiatives to create an inclusive workplace culture that values diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

7. Employer Branding:

  • Enhance the companyโ€™s online presence by managing and updating career pages on job boards, social media platforms, and other recruitment channels.
  • Work with the marketing and communications teams to ensure that job postings and other recruitment materials reflect the companyโ€™s values and culture.
  • Participate in networking events, job fairs, and industry conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential candidates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a proven track record of success in a high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, interviewing techniques, and talent assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to hiring and recruitment.
  • Experience with diversity recruitment strategies and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a remote environment or managing remote recruitment processes.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific recruitment trends, including emerging talent markets and specialized job functions.
  • Certifications in talent acquisition or related areas (e.g., Certified Talent Acquisition Professional (CTAP), SHRM-CP, or equivalent).
