🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Firewall Administration & Network Security

• Configure, maintain and monitor firewalls to ensure a secure network environment.
• Perform security audits, vulnerability assessments, and threat detection.
• Analyze network traffic for potential threats and implement mitigation strategies.
• Respond promptly to security incidents to minimize risks and downtime.

🔹 Security Policy Development & Compliance

• Develop and enforce firewall security policies based on industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
• Keep security protocols aligned with evolving cyber threats and business needs.
• Conduct security training to educate staff on best practices.

🔹 Incident Management & Risk Mitigation

• Detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
• Work with IT teams to strengthen security response plans and reduce risks.
• Automate security processes to improve incident response efficiency.
• Keep detailed documentation of incidents and remediation efforts for future improvements.

🔹 Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

🛠 Required Skills & Qualifications

✅ Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in firewall management and network security.
• Hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls.

✅ Technical Proficiency

• Firewall Expertise: Familiarity with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Check Point, and similar systems.
• Network Security Knowledge: Proficiency in VPNs, IDS/IPS, access controls, and networking protocols.
• Threat Management: Experience with SIEM solutions, security event monitoring, and response strategies.
• Incident Resolution: Ability to detect, analyze, and mitigate cyber threats in real-time.

✅ Compliance & Certifications (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCNP Security, or related credentials.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
