E-Learning Developer (Remote)

Annual Salary: $79,844

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and innovative E-Learning Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and interactive online learning experiences. Your work will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational journeys of our learners, ensuring they have access to high-quality, effective training materials. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to create dynamic e-learning modules that meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Course Development:
    • Design and develop e-learning courses and training materials using various authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms).
    • Create multimedia content, including videos, animations, and interactive assessments, to enhance learner engagement and understanding.
  2. Collaborative Design:
    • Work closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts to gather requirements and ensure alignment with learning objectives.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and collaborate on course structures, narratives, and visuals that promote effective learning.
  3. Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Develop assessment tools to measure learner performance and gather feedback on course effectiveness.
    • Analyze learner data to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement, making data-driven recommendations for course adjustments.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct thorough testing of e-learning courses for functionality, usability, and accessibility before launch.
    • Ensure that all content adheres to best practices in instructional design and meets industry standards for accessibility (e.g., WCAG compliance).
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in e-learning, instructional design, and educational technology to enhance course offerings.
    • Seek and incorporate feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously refine and improve course materials.
  6. Project Management:
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of e-learning courses within established deadlines.
    • Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to team members and stakeholders throughout the development process.
  7. Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support for learners encountering issues with e-learning modules.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to course delivery platforms and tools.
  8. Documentation:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of course development processes, project timelines, and design decisions.
    • Create user guides and training materials for educators and learners to facilitate effective use of e-learning resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in e-learning development and instructional design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in e-learning design.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create visually appealing course materials.
  • Experience in coding or scripting languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for advanced e-learning functionalities.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools to track and analyze learner engagement and performance.
