Join a Future-Forward Finance Team from Anywhere in the World

Imagine being part of a high-energy finance team that doesnโ€™t just crunch numbers but breathes life into business strategy. As a Remote Revenue Accountant, youโ€™ll play a starring role in ensuring revenue integrity, supporting bold initiatives, and aligning financial results with a larger mission to build more intelligent, more agile business systems. This is more than balancing the booksโ€”this is financial storytelling at its finest, from the comfort of your own home. With an annual salary of $69,750, this role strikes a balance between flexibility, growth, and innovation.

About the Journey Weโ€™re On

Our company started with a sparkโ€”a dream to make financial ecosystems more dynamic, human-centric, and intelligent. Weโ€™ve redefined what remote accounting teams can do by fostering a creative culture where data isnโ€™t just recorded but interpreted, explored, and utilized to craft smarter growth strategies. From innovative SaaS launches to international service expansions, weโ€™ve been there, supporting each moment with precision and purpose. Now, weโ€™re growing, and weโ€™re looking for someone ready to dive into a financial universe where creativity meets compliance.

Your Core Responsibilities

Driving Revenue Accuracy

  • Analyze revenue streams from multiple products and services to ensure correct recognition based on current accounting standards (ASC 606 included).
  • Prepare, adjust, and review journal entries related to revenue and contract assets.
  • Identify discrepancies and correct revenue mismatches proactively with agility and care.

Supporting Strategic Financial Reporting

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes focused on revenue reconciliation and deferred revenue schedules.
  • Create revenue forecasts in collaboration with FP&A to help shape future growth.
  • Generate audit-ready documentation that reflects transparency and control.

Collaborating Cross-Functionally

  • Partner with sales, billing, and customer success teams to validate revenue arrangements.
  • Translate complex contractual terms into actionable accounting entries without losing sight of creativity or nuance.
  • Help implement process improvements across revenue accounting workflows with automation tools and technology.

The Tools That Power Your Workflow

We donโ€™t just hand you spreadsheets and say, "Good luck." We equip you with an ecosystem of tools to do your best work. Expect to dive into systems like:

  • NetSuite for ERP management and cloud-based revenue operations
  • Salesforce for tracking deal data and contract details
  • Workiva and BlackLine for reporting and account reconciliation
  • Excel, obviouslyโ€”but with macros, pivot tables, and creative modeling to boot
  • Cloud collaboration platforms (think Slack, Notion, and Asana) that keep everyone in sync and on beat

Your Ideal Work Environment

This isnโ€™t your typical cubicle accounting job. Picture this: logging in with a coffee mug in hand from your kitchen in the morning, collaborating with a teammate dialing in from Lisbon, and wrapping up with a virtual brainstorming session filled with emojis, humor, and breakthrough ideas.

We celebrate:

  • ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ A fully remote-first environment with optional coworking credits
  • ๐ŸŒ A globally diverse team that values your unique lens
  • ๐Ÿง  Ongoing upskilling in creative problem solving, revenue technology, and digital finance trends

What You Bring to the Ledger

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or eligibility a major plus)
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, with exposure to SaaS or digital service models
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly ASC 606 and contract accounting principles

Skills That Make You Stand Out

  • Youโ€™ve got a flair for solving accounting puzzles and transforming messy data into clean insights.
  • Experience working with recurring billing systems or subscription-based models
  • Excellent written and verbal communicationโ€”you know how to make finance relatable
  • Attention to detail that borders on poetic, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Growth, Recognition, and Whatโ€™s In It for You

Letโ€™s talk perks. Sure, weโ€™ve got the essentialsโ€”competitive salary, complete healthcare, and retirement optionsโ€”but we also believe in adding a touch of sparkle:

  • ๐Ÿงณ Annual remote retreats in scenic locations to reconnect and recharge
  • ๐Ÿ“š Learning stipends to support certifications, creative courses, or financial tech training
