Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all HR-related regulations, policies, and labor laws.
  • Audit and maintain employee files, I-9 Forms, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and update employee handbooks, HR policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Collaborate with legal, payroll, and benefits teams to ensure proper implementation of compliance practices.
  • Respond to internal audits, government inquiries, and employee concerns related to HR practices.
  • Maintain and manage reporting protocols for EEOC, OSHA, and other compliance requirements.
  • Conduct internal trainings and documentation rollouts on changes to HR compliance laws.
  • Track and document all disciplinary actions and terminations in alignment with employment law.
  • Partner with external compliance vendors when required.
  • Proactively identify legal and procedural risks and recommend solutions.
  • Assist in drafting employment contracts, offer letters, and severance agreements to ensure legal accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR compliance or employment law-related functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. labor law, especially ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEOC, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Prior experience working with remote-first or hybrid teams preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and digital compliance tools.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and teams.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems with simplicity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate legal requirements into actionable HR practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
