Job Summary

As an Online Education Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing online education programs, to improve learning outcomes and drive innovation in digital learning platforms. You will work closely with instructional designers, educators, and technology teams to analyze data, evaluate the effectiveness of e-learning programs, and provide strategic recommendations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about education technology, data analysis, and continuous improvement in online learning environments.

In this remote role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams located in different time zones, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in your work schedule. You will provide insights and recommendations that directly influence curriculum development, learner engagement, and overall program success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to online learning programs, including learner engagement, completion rates, and assessment scores.
  • Use data analytics tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, etc.) to generate actionable insights and reports for various stakeholders.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement within the e-learning ecosystem, providing clear and concise reports to leadership and instructional teams.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for online education programs.

2. Program Evaluation and Improvement

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current online education programs by analyzing course performance, learner feedback, and completion rates.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance the structure, content, and delivery of e-learning courses, with a focus on improving learner outcomes.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers to ensure data-driven decisions are incorporated into the development and refinement of courses and learning materials.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of courseware and suggest updates based on emerging trends in online education and technological advancements.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with educators, course designers, and technology teams to align analysis and recommendations with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between academic staff and the IT department to ensure technical requirements for data tracking and reporting are met.
  • Communicate findings and insights to a non-technical audience, helping stakeholders understand the implications of data on learner success and program performance.
  • Foster strong relationships with educational partners and contribute to the strategic development of partnerships and collaborations.

4. Technology and Learning Tools Integration

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in education technology, including learning management systems (LMS), AI-driven learning tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Recommend and implement new tools and technologies to enhance online education offerings and streamline processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data across multiple platforms and tools, ensuring that analytics can be easily gathered and utilized for decision-making purposes.
  • Test and validate new technologies, ensuring they meet the needs of the learners and instructors.

5. Learning Outcomes and Engagement

  • Analyze learning outcomes and engagement levels to identify barriers to student success, such as low completion rates or insufficient participation in discussions.
  • Design and execute experiments aimed at improving learner retention and success rates, using a data-driven approach to iterate on solutions.
  • Develop strategies for personalizing the learning experience for students, using data to tailor content, assessments, and feedback.
  • Measure the impact of various engagement initiatives and report on the effectiveness of interventions.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Data Analytics, Educational Technology, or a related field (Masterโ€™s preferred).

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the online education or e-learning industry.
  • Proven experience with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
  • Strong experience in program evaluation, instructional design, or educational assessment.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze large datasets to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with educational best practices, particularly in online learning and instructional design.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in e-learning, including AI-driven learning, gamification, and personalized learning pathways.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis is a plus.

  • Advanced degree in Education, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working with adaptive learning technologies or AI-driven learning tools.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and best practices for online learning.
