Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Online Education Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing, implementing, and evaluating online educational programs and resources. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the learning experience for our diverse student population, ensuring that our online offerings are engaging, effective, and aligned with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development:
   • Design, develop, and enhance online course materials and curricula that meet educational standards and align with program objectives.
   • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning outcomes.
   • Incorporate various instructional methodologies and technologies to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
2. Instructional Design:
   • Utilize instructional design principles and best practices to create user-friendly online courses.
   • Develop multimedia components, such as videos, infographics, and interactive elements, to enhance the learning experience.
   • Ensure accessibility standards are met, making courses inclusive for all learners.
3. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
   • Manage and maintain the online learning platform, ensuring courses are properly set up and functioning smoothly.
   • Monitor and analyze student engagement and performance metrics to inform course improvements and adjustments.
   • Provide training and support to instructors and students on how to navigate the LMS effectively.
4. Evaluation and Assessment:
   • Develop assessment tools and strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes and course effectiveness.
   • Gather feedback from students and instructors to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
   • Conduct regular reviews of course content and instructional strategies to ensure ongoing quality and relevance.
5. Professional Development:
   • Stay current with trends and advancements in online education, instructional design, and educational technology.
   • Participate in professional development opportunities and share insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
   • Conduct workshops or training sessions for faculty and staff on effective online teaching practices and tools.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with faculty, academic departments, and administrative teams to align online courses with institutional goals and policies.
   • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages communication and feedback among all stakeholders involved in online education.
   • Act as a liaison between faculty and technical support teams to resolve issues and optimize course delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in online education, instructional design, or a related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
• Proficiency in multimedia tools and technologies for course development, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
