Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Online Learning Coordinator to join our team. This remote position is crucial in supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of online educational programs. Key Responsibilities
- Course Development and Management
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to create engaging online courses that meet educational standards.
- Oversee the course lifecycle, from initial design and development through delivery and evaluation.
- Ensure all online content is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with learning objectives.
- Learner Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students enrolled in online programs, providing guidance and support throughout their learning experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement, retention, and success.
- Conduct regular check-ins and assessments to monitor student progress and address any challenges they may face.
- Technology Integration
- Evaluate and recommend educational technologies and platforms that enhance online learning experiences.
- Assist faculty and staff in the integration of technology into their courses, providing training and support as needed.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with IT support to resolve any problems affecting online learning.
- Quality Assurance and Evaluation
- Establish and implement assessment and evaluation processes to ensure the effectiveness of online courses.
- Analyze feedback from students and faculty to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
- Prepare reports on course performance and student outcomes, presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Professional Development
- Organize and facilitate professional development workshops and training sessions for faculty on best practices in online teaching and learning.
- Stay current with trends and innovations in online education, sharing insights with the team to enhance course offerings.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of course enrollments, completions, and student progress.
- Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for online programs.
- Support marketing efforts to promote online courses, collaborating with the marketing team to reach potential students.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in online learning coordination, instructional design, or a related role. Experience in a higher education setting is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technology tools. Familiarity with multimedia production software is an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff. A strong commitment to student success and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Working Conditions
- This is a remote position, allowing for flexible work hours. The Online Learning Coordinator may need to participate in occasional meetings or training sessions outside regular working hours.
