What You’ll Be Doing

Patient-Centered Investigations

  • Conduct thorough benefit verifications for both medical and pharmacy claims across commercial and government insurance plans.
  • Determine prior authorization requirements and prepare compelling clinical documentation in support of approvals.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, prescribers, and insurance providers to expedite access to therapy.

Clinical and Technical Decision Support

  • Provide pharmacological expertise to resolve complex insurance challenges, including tier exceptions and step therapy requirements.
  • Interpret formularies, clinical guidelines, and pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) coverage trends.
  • Evaluate alternative therapy options and discuss cost-saving interventions with providers.

Operational Collaboration

  • Collaborate with case managers, intake coordinators, and reimbursement teams to drive end-to-end resolution.
