Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi
  • Optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost through monitoring and right-sizing

Security and Compliance

  • Implement secure cloud environments adhering to regulatory compliance
  • Conduct regular system audits, patch management, and failover testing

Collaboration and Support

  • Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to create CI/CD pipelines and containerized services.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and propose scalable resolutions

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 4+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer
  • Proven hands-on experience with at least one primary cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency in writing infrastructure-as-code templates using Terraform or similar

Core Competencies

  • Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, cloud security, and microservice architecture
  • Experience deploying container-based applications and managing orchestration systems
  • Familiarity with Linux-based environments and system-level debugging
  • Strong analytical thinking and a proven ability to operate autonomously in virtual teams in remote teams

Preferred Skills

  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator Associate
  • Experience with serverless architecture and function-as-a-service (FaaS)
  • Knowledge of cost-optimization strategies for cloud resource usage
  • Exposure to hybrid cloud environments or multi-cloud deployment strategies
  • Comfortable with incident management, alerting systems, and disaster recovery planning
