Key Responsibilities

Formulary Design & Management

• Review and update existing formularies based on clinical evidence, therapeutic equivalency, and financial impact.

• Maintain compliance with national and state-level pharmacy regulations.

Drug Evaluation & Therapeutic Alternatives

• Conduct a comparative analysis of brand-name and generic drugs, focusing on efficacy, safety, and cost.
• Provide therapeutic substitution recommendations to streamline member access.
• Partner with clinical teams to ensure evidence-based decisions regarding the formulary.

Collaboration with Clinical Teams

• Offer consultative insights during P&T (Pharmacy & Therapeutics) committee reviews.
• Act as a trusted advisor on complex therapeutic categories.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor formulary performance and develop reporting dashboards for leadership.
