What You’ll Tackle
- Quickly respond to support requests and walk users through solutions for all things tech—hardware, software, apps, and remote connections.
- Troubleshoot issues with laptops, smartphones, online tools, and communication platforms.
- Set up new users, manage permissions, and secure devices for a team that spans continents.
- Make onboarding and offboarding smooth and straightforward by providing people with the necessary tech resources from day one.
- Keep documentation clear and updated so teammates can find answers without the hassle.
- Track help tickets, bring in senior engineers when things become complicated, and ensure that no one feels left behind.
- Pitch in on upgrades and new tech rollouts, working side-by-side with other IT pros to bring fresh solutions.
- Help run regular checks to keep data safe and ensure our backups and security plans are always ready for action.
Your Toolbox
You’ll use a mix of tools and apps, including:
- Remote support and desktop management (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, LogMeIn, and others)
- Cloud and team collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack)
- Security software and device management (Intune, Jamf, anti-virus tools)
- Ticketing systems (Jira Service Management, Zendesk, or similar)
- VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting utilities
Comfort with these or similar platforms will set you up for success. Even if you haven’t used every tool, curiosity and a willingness to learn go a long way.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Hands-on experience providing remote IT or tech support, especially with teams spread out geographically.
- Comfortable working across operating systems—Windows, macOS, Linux—and familiar with leading online productivity platforms.
