Job Overview:
As a Remote Learning Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing online learning experiences for students, employees, or clients in a virtual setting. You will oversee the implementation, administration, and maintenance of Learning Management Systems (LMS), ensuring that all users have a seamless experience. This role requires you to act as a liaison between educators, instructional designers, IT teams, and learners to optimize the virtual learning infrastructure. Your responsibilities will involve not only the technical aspects of the LMS but also supporting instructors and learners in navigating the platform, troubleshooting, and ensuring that online learning aligns with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the organizationโs LMS, including user account management, course registration, and content uploads.
- Work closely with content developers and instructional designers to upload, test, and implement course materials.
- Ensure that the LMS platform is functioning optimally, addressing any technical issues that may arise.
- Perform regular system updates and maintenance, ensuring data integrity, and backing up course materials and user information.
- Develop and implement a schedule for regular audits and evaluations of the LMS to ensure it is in line with evolving needs.
User Support and Training:
- Provide end-user technical support, including troubleshooting issues related to course navigation, system accessibility, and hardware or software compatibility.
- Deliver training sessions or create training materials (guides, video tutorials, etc.) for both instructors and learners on how to use the LMS and any other relevant tools.
- Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to online learning platforms, providing a high level of customer service to users.
Instructional Support and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with instructional designers, faculty, and other subject matter experts to design and develop engaging e-learning experiences.
- Assist with course development to ensure courses are set up properly and meet quality standards.
- Help faculty and instructors troubleshoot issues with course design, content, and functionality.
- Provide recommendations on best practices in virtual learning environments.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and report on student engagement, course completion rates, and other key performance metrics within the LMS.
- Analyze data to identify trends and suggest improvements in course delivery and student performance.
- Provide insights through regular reports to senior management, assisting in the continuous improvement of online learning offerings.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all online courses and programs meet regulatory requirements and are compliant with relevant education standards, such as ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for maintaining course quality and consistency across the platform.
- Conduct regular reviews of courses and materials to ensure that they are up-to-date and relevant.
Emerging Trends and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about the latest developments in online education, including new technologies, instructional design trends, and regulatory changes.
- Recommend and implement improvements or new features to enhance the overall user experience and learning outcomes.
- Research and recommend tools or platforms that can complement the organizationโs learning strategy.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration between LMS and other systems (e.g., HRIS, CRM, or third-party learning tools).
- Coordinate with multiple departments, including HR, IT, and academic staff, to ensure the successful rollout and management of online courses.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors or external providers of learning platforms, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field (Masterโs degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in LMS administration, e-learning development, or online course management.
- Expertise with popular Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or similar).
- Strong technical skills, including experience with HTML, CSS, and various multimedia formats (video, audio, SCORM, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and e-learning standards such as SCORM, xAPI, and AICC.
- Understanding of ADA and FERPA compliance in an online learning context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masterโs degree in Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, or related fields.
- Experience working with cloud-based e-learning solutions and integrations.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and reporting in LMS environments.
- Project management experience, particularly in online education initiatives.
