Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workforce Planning Manager to lead the strategic planning, forecasting, and management of our workforce needs in a remote, dynamic environment. This role plays a key part in aligning the workforce with business objectives, ensuring operational efficiency, and meeting long-term organizational goals. The Workforce Planning Manager will oversee workforce analysis, staffing models, resource allocation, and capacity planning, ensuring we are prepared to meet both current and future business demands. Key Responsibilities

  1. Workforce Strategy Development

    • Use predictive modeling to identify trends and risks that may impact workforce supply and demand.
    • Create and maintain workforce dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor workforce performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  3. Talent Management and Optimization
    • Ensure the efficient allocation of resources, balancing workload distribution to prevent overstaffing or understaffing.
    • Work with HR and department heads to ensure the timely hiring of skilled employees based on future workforce needs.
    • Develop workforce scenarios and contingency plans to manage talent during periods of rapid change, business growth, or contraction.
    • Implement talent management strategies that improve employee retention, skill development, and career progression.
  4. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams
    • Partner with human resources, finance, and operations teams to integrate workforce planning into broader business strategies.
    • Ensure cross-functional alignment on resource allocation and workforce strategies to support business goals.
    • Work closely with HR to address employee relations, performance management, and development planning, ensuring workforce plans support overall talent objectives.
  5. Process Improvement and Best Practices
    • Identify opportunities for improving workforce planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
    • Implement best practices to enhance workforce planning accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
    • Continuously assess internal processes and recommend improvements to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, labor market shifts, and emerging workforce planning technologies and approaches.
  6. Leadership and Team Development
    • Manage and mentor a team of workforce planning analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
    • Provide leadership and guidance on workforce planning initiatives, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, actionable insights.
    • Build a high-performing workforce planning function, ensuring that team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  7. Budgeting and Resource Management
    • Work closely with the finance team to manage workforce planning budgets, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts and constraints.
    • Optimize workforce costs through strategic staffing, workforce sharing, and other cost-effective resource management practices.
    • Ensure the efficient use of workforce resources to achieve business goals while maintaining financial discipline.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (Masterโ€™s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in workforce planning, human resources, or business operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrated success in workforce forecasting, resource planning, and capacity management.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Proficient in workforce planning software, HR systems, and analytics tools.

Working Conditions
