Annual Salary: $85,456

Key Responsibilities

• Mix multi-track recordings into polished final products across multiple genres.
• Balance individual audio elements (vocals, instruments, effects) for clarity and cohesion.
• Apply equalization, compression, reverb, and other dynamics processing to enhance quality.
• Communicate with producers and artists to align on creative direction
• Use reference tracks to maintain genre-specific standards and expectations
• Troubleshoot technical audio issues and deliver consistent output levels
• Meet project deadlines with high attention to detail and precision
• Provide constructive feedback when collaborating with mastering engineers

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in audio mixing
• In-depth knowledge of DAWs (Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Ableton Live)
• Familiarity with analog-modeling plugins and digital mixing consoles
• Clear understanding of gain staging, phase alignment, and stereo imaging
• Exceptional ear for balance, tone, and frequency separation
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and feedback skills in remote settings
• Portfolio of previously mixed tracks demonstrating skill across genres

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position. You will have the freedom to design your workspace and schedule, while remaining accountable to project timelines. We emphasize autonomy, creative control, and asynchronous communication.
