Role Overview: Defining Privacy in the Digital Age
Program Vision and Responsibilities
Strategic Program Ownership
- Design and refine global privacy programs in alignment with GDPR, CCPA, and other major regulatory frameworks
- Develop a comprehensive long-term privacy strategy that aligns innovation with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures, and guidelines on data usage, handling, and storage.
Cross-Team Leadership and Communication
- Act as the privacy point of contact for engineering, marketing, HR, and data science teams
- Collaborate with UX designers and developers to embed privacy within product life cycles.
- Influence executive leadership on privacy matters and organizational risk appetite.
Operational Excellence in Privacy
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs)
- Coordinate audits, risk assessments, and incident response protocols
- Establish a governance model to manage vendor risk and third-party data-sharing practices
