What You'll Be Doing

Infrastructure Security
- Harden cloud and local infrastructure against external and internal threats.
- Develop custom security tools and automate vulnerability scans.
- Collaborate on secure system architecture designs, including microservices and container-based setups.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Help maintain compliance with standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks.
- Lead quarterly risk assessments and ensure documentation meets audit requirements.
- Recommend best practices for managing key risks, from third-party integrations to user access policies.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with DevOps and Software Engineers to implement DevSecOps practices.
- Review code repositories for security flaws and conduct security testing.
- Contribute to security knowledge bases and participate in security training initiatives for cross-functional teams.

What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you will:
- Led at least one security incident response with a documented resolution timeline under 12 hours.
- Configure secure IAM roles and rotate keys across at least two cloud environments.
- Launch a repeatable vulnerability scanning pipeline integrated into CI/CD workflows.
By month six, your metrics will help demonstrate:
- Noticeable improvements in responsiveness, with average alert resolution times cut significantly.
- 100% system-wide compliance score in internal security audits.
- Adequate knowledge sharing through internal wikis or workshops for team-wide skill development.

Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience

- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Strong familiarity with encryption, PKI, and key management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
