About the Role

The Utilization Management (UM) Pharmacist plays a crucial role in upholding high standards of care, evaluating treatment requests, and ensuring that therapies align with both clinical effectiveness and patient-centered principles. Key Responsibilities

Medication Evaluation & Clinical Review

  • Review and assess medication authorization requests by current therapeutic guidelines and policies.

Team-Based Coordination

  • Collaborate with physicians, care coordinators, and nursing teams to gather detailed information and optimize treatment strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking individuals who possess technical expertise combined with a human touch—those who can assess medication appropriateness and present recommendations with clarity and care.

Required:

  • A valid, unrestricted Pharmacist license in at least one U.S. state
  • A PharmD or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical or UM-related experience
  • Comfort with clinical software and remote work tools

Preferred:

  • Experience in Managed Care, Pharmacy Benefit Management, or Medicare Part D
  • Recognized certifications such as BCPS or MTM Specialist
  • Additional state licenses are a bonus
