About the Role: Creating a Safer Internet for All

This role centers around continuous monitoring, analysis, and reinforcement of our digital infrastructure to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats. As a Web Security Analyst working remotely, you'll proactively assess web-based vulnerabilities, collaborate with IT professionals to secure backend systems, and help us create digital environments where safety and accessibility co-exist. Key Responsibilities

Threat Detection and Prevention

• Perform regular audits of web applications, APIs, and cloud configurations to identify and patch vulnerabilities.
• Utilize penetration testing tools and web threat intelligence to simulate attacks and identify risks.

Real-Time Monitoring

• Monitor real-time threat data and logs to promptly detect and respond to suspicious activity.

Policy and Compliance

• Develop internal security guidelines and assist team members in training on secure coding practices.
• Assist in compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection regulations where applicable.

Reporting and Communication

Qualifications and Attributes

Professional Experience

• Proven experience in web security analysis or a similar role (typically 3+ years)

Technical Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security protocols
• Experience implementing OWASP Top 10 mitigation strategies
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS and secure development lifecycle (SDLC) principles
