Core Responsibilities

Maintain and Optimize Windows Environments

  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and domain services for a growing network of over 5,000 users.
  • Deploy, configure, and support Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 instances—both on-premises and in hybrid cloud settings.
  • Oversee file, print, and application servers, ensuring resources remain fast, reliable, and secure.
  • Regularly apply critical updates and patches to prevent downtime and vulnerabilities.

Drive Automation and Efficiency

  • Design and implement PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive administrative tasks, improving response times and accuracy.
  • Utilize monitoring platforms like SolarWinds and Nagios to track server health, manage performance metrics, and trigger alerts.
  • Document best practices, build self-service knowledge bases, and champion IT process improvements across distributed teams.

Strengthen Security and Compliance

  • Regularly review systems and processes to confirm alignment with security protocols, industry regulations, and data protection guidelines.
  • Manage user permissions and access controls with a focus on least-privilege principles.
  • Configure and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using tools like Veeam, Azure Backup, or Windows Server Backup.
