Job Description:

As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support, assistance, and advocacy to individuals and families in need within the Pune community. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Client Assessment and Support:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients' needs, circumstances, and challenges.
• Developing individualized care plans tailored to meet clients' specific goals and objectives.
• Providing emotional support, counseling, and guidance to clients facing various social, emotional, or financial difficulties.

2. Resource Referral and Coordination:

• Connecting clients with relevant community resources, such as healthcare services, housing assistance, employment opportunities, and educational programs.
• Collaborating with local organizations, government agencies, and non-profit groups to ensure clients receive comprehensive support and assistance.
• Facilitating access to financial aid, benefits, and entitlement programs for eligible individuals and families.

3. Advocacy and Empowerment:

• Advocating for the rights and interests of clients within the legal, social, and healthcare systems.
• Empowering clients to advocate for themselves and make informed decisions about their lives and futures.
• Promoting social justice, equality, and inclusivity through education, outreach, and community engagement initiatives.

4. Crisis Intervention and Case Management:

• Providing immediate support and intervention in crises, such as domestic violence, homelessness, substance abuse, or mental health crises.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement crisis management plans and safety protocols.
• Conducting regular follow-ups and assessments to monitor clients' progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Complying with confidentiality and privacy regulations to ensure the security and confidentiality of client information.
• Generating comprehensive reports and statistics to track program effectiveness, outcomes, and impact.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• Previous experience in social work, counseling, or community services is preferred but not required for fresher applicants.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Knowledge of local resources, services, and support networks in Pune is advantageous.
