Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Maintenance
✅ Manage and maintain virtualized environments, ensuring optimal system performance.
✅ Conduct routine audits and apply necessary software patches and security updates.
✅ Monitor system health, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance infrastructure efficiency.
✅ Implement best practices for system performance, uptime, and security.
Infrastructure Management
✅ Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based and on-premise virtual environments.
✅ Improve network configurations, storage solutions, and system availability.
✅ Use automation tools to streamline system deployment and administrative tasks.
✅ Maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures to ensure data protection.
✅ Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance IT operations.
Security & Compliance
✅ Apply security best practices to protect virtualized environments from threats.
✅ Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and compliance checks.
✅ Ensure adherence to industry security standards and internal policies.
✅ Develop security protocols and monitor for potential threats.
✅ Respond swiftly to security incidents and implement mitigation measures.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
✅ Provide technical assistance to internal teams and resolve IT-related issues.
✅ Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve system performance.
✅ Maintain an efficient incident response plan for handling emergencies.
✅ Use monitoring tools to assess system performance and address issues proactively.
Documentation & Reporting
✅ Maintain accurate records of system configurations, updates, and modifications.
✅ Generate reports on infrastructure performance, security, and efficiency.
✅ Create and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system tasks.
✅ Document troubleshooting steps and knowledge base articles for internal use.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
🎓 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
🎓 3+ years of experience in virtualization, cloud computing, and system administration.
🎓 Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
🎓 Proven ability to manage enterprise-level virtual environments securely.
Technical Skills
🛠 Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.).
🛠 Expertise in Windows and Linux server management, scripting, and automation.
🛠 In-depth knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security configurations.
🛠 Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell.
🛠 Understanding storage management, high availability configurations, and disaster recovery strategies.
