Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative E-Learning Instructional Designer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the development of cutting-edge online training and educational programs. As an E-Learning Instructional Designer, you will work closely with subject matter experts, instructors, and various stakeholders to design, develop, and implement high-quality e-learning courses and modules. Your role will involve utilizing instructional design models and the latest e-learning tools to create training materials that cater to various learning styles. Your efforts will help elevate the organization's training capabilities by making education accessible, flexible, and engaging for learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Design and Development:
    Develop and design engaging, interactive, and learner-centered online training materials, including e-learning modules, videos, presentations, assessments, and simulations. Ensure that content aligns with instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and best e-learning practices.
  • Content Creation:
    Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to collect and analyze content requirements. Transform complex and technical information into digestible learning experiences, including multimedia elements such as infographics, animations, and videos.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Integration:
    Integrate e-learning modules and content into the organization's LMS. Monitor the course progress and success metrics within the LMS, making necessary adjustments to enhance user experience and learner outcomes.
  • Needs Assessment and Analysis:
    Conduct thorough needs analysis to identify training gaps and develop learning objectives. Work with stakeholders to understand target audiences, ensuring that learning solutions meet specific organizational goals and learner needs.
  • E-Learning Technology Application:
    Utilize e-learning tools and software such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar platforms to build interactive and adaptive learning experiences. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in instructional design and e-learning to continuously enhance content delivery.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
    Design formative and summative assessments, quizzes, and feedback mechanisms to evaluate learnersโ€™ knowledge retention and application. Use assessment data to identify opportunities for course improvement and measure training effectiveness.
  • Project Management:
    Manage multiple instructional design projects concurrently, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of training programs.
  • Accessibility and Inclusivity:
    Design learning materials that are accessible and inclusive, adhering to universal design for learning (UDL) principles and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1).
  • User Experience (UX) Design:
    Implement UX design principles to create intuitive and easy-to-navigate online learning environments. Ensure a seamless learner journey from course registration to completion, while providing clear instructions and guidance throughout the process.
  • Content Review and Updates:
    Regularly review and update course content to keep materials current, relevant, and aligned with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelorโ€™s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field is required. A Masterโ€™s degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in instructional design and development, particularly in e-learning environments. Experience in corporate training, higher education, or similar sectors is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia.
    • Experience with LMS platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
    • Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia editing software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) is a plus.
    • Understanding of SCORM, AICC, or xAPI standards.
  • Instructional Design Skills:
    Strong understanding of instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, or Bloom's Taxonomy. Proven ability to design content that accommodates diverse learning styles.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote team environment, and maintain strong relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
    Ability to assess the learning needs of the target audience and propose effective learning solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Time Management and Organizational Skills:
    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in gamification, mobile learning, or microlearning techniques.
  • Familiarity with video production, including storyboarding, scripting, and editing.
  • Certification in instructional design or related areas is a plus.
