Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to join our team remotely. This position is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of training programs and initiatives that drive employee development, foster a learning culture, and enhance organizational effectiveness. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and HR to identify training needs, implement effective learning solutions, and evaluate the impact of these programs on business outcomes.
As the Learning and Development Manager, you will manage a variety of learning initiatives ranging from onboarding and compliance training to leadership development and professional skills enhancement. You will play a key role in creating a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring that employees at all levels have the opportunity to grow and succeed in their roles. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with a passion for helping others develop their skills and careers in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learning and Development Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Learning and Development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify areas where learning programs will improve performance and engagement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in L&D to ensure that programs are innovative, impactful, and aligned with the latest learning technologies and methodologies.
2. Curriculum Design and Program Development:
- Design and implement effective learning programs that address identified needs, including leadership development, soft skills training, technical skills development, and compliance training.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across departments to create customized training content tailored to different roles and business units.
- Utilize various learning modalities, including virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, and blended learning solutions, to ensure content is engaging and accessible for remote employees.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback and performance metrics.
3. Learning Technology and Tools:
- Manage the learning management system (LMS), ensuring that all training materials, assessments, and records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Leverage digital tools and platforms to deliver training programs efficiently to remote teams.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and learning platforms that can enhance remote learning experiences.
4. Employee Development and Coaching:
- Develop and implement individual development plans (IDPs) for employees across the organization.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to help employees achieve their career goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employees to take ownership of their development and seek out learning opportunities.
5. Leadership Development:
- Design and implement leadership development programs that equip managers and leaders with the skills they need to effectively lead remote teams.
- Provide training in areas such as remote team management, communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution.
- Identify high-potential employees and create succession plans to ensure the organization has a pipeline of future leaders.
6. Measuring Impact and Effectiveness:
- Develop and implement evaluation tools and metrics to measure the effectiveness and ROI of L&D programs.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve learning offerings and demonstrate their impact on business performance.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to training participation, employee engagement, skill acquisition, and overall performance improvement.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelorโs degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field. A Masterโs degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- Experience designing and delivering remote or hybrid learning programs is essential.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and eLearning development.
- Proven track record of implementing successful leadership development and training programs in a corporate environment.

Work Environment:
This is a fully remote position. The Learning and Development Manager will collaborate with a distributed workforce across multiple time zones. You must have the ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with team members through digital tools.
